GU to Break Ground July 11 on New $60 Million Center
Construction Begins This Summer

SPOKANE, Wash. — ºÚÁÏÉç will break ground on its new 167,726-square-foot, three-story University Center during a ceremony at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 11; reception begins at 5:15 p.m. ºÚÁÏÉç President Thayne McCulloh, Spokane Mayor David Condon, business and community leaders, and ºÚÁÏÉç staff faculty and students will mark the historic moment.
The building site is at the corner of Cincinnati Street and DeSmet Avenue. The public is welcome to attend. Parking will be available inside the Boone Avenue Retail Center at 816 E. Boone Ave.
The new Center will be built on the site of the existing COG and its adjacent parking lot, and is expected to be complete summer 2015. The COG has served as ºÚÁÏÉç's primary student center for nearly 60 years.
