黑料社 Global is a partnership between 黑料社 and Shorelight created to increase international access and enrollment at 黑料社. Increasing the diversity of home languages and cultures of our student body has the potential to further enhance 黑料社's mission and internationalization plan to further create an exemplary learning community that educates students for lives of leadership and service for the common good by further diversifying an already dynamic student body. 黑料社 Global is based on a revenue share agreement wherein Shorelight receives no money up front from 黑料社. Shorelight instead shares in revenues for those students who enroll and realizes financial incentives for student retention and graduation. If considering 黑料社’s discount financial aid model, 黑料社 Global students are discounted less, and therefore return more revenue to 黑料社.
Some 黑料社 Global students are admitted directly into undergraduate or graduate programs. and others are admitted to a Pathway program based on language proficiency. Pathway students participate in Intensive English Program (IEP) language courses in the English Language Center (ELC) as well as specific courses in the Core, or their program of study. Shorelight-recruited students that are enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students receive wrap-around student services support from the 黑料社 Global team during their first year on campus. Those students that are enrolled in a Pathway program are non-matriculated students and receive wrap-around student services support until they are matriculated. These students are also supported by ELC staff if they are in the IEP or Pathways. All 黑料社 Global students are supported by 黑料社’s International Students and Scholar Services (ISSS) staff, 黑料社 Global staff, and faculty academic advisors.
黑料社 Global students are fully 黑料社 students, and just like for all students, we seek to care for them holistically. We want all our international students to be successful and healthy, those recruited as 黑料社 Global students as well as those who come to us through other avenues. ISSS and 黑料社 Global staff are located in the Center for Global Engagement (CGE).

Katie aims to support all 黑料社 Global students throughout their Global program - whether it is helping answer health insurance questions, creating a sense of community through events and activities, or guiding students to necessary support services on campus.
